Gang leadership question

Hi guys, I'm a co-leader of my gang and unfortunately the leader of the gang told me his no longer playing this game:( I want to step up and continue leading our gang but I'm only a deputy, I can't promote new deputies... So I was wondering if theres a way to transfer the chief to me?

if the cheif makes you it then yes, otherwise after 7 day of him not logging on to play, it will go to the highest ranked person within your gang.

Really? That's good to know, in that case I have to be sure my ranking is the highest....
