Missions presentation


Goals


The mission feature is here to add more stuff to do in the game, especially when not moving around



The principle

Each area is going to posses a "missions" button next to the "attack" button. It will display a list of mission that the player can do.
Think of this as a solo mode.

The actions are : start a mission, which will start a timer. You'll have to wait to the mission to finish, and then you would be able to collect the mission. The rewards are : $, henchmen, or both.
Several mission can be launch at the same, but one mission at the time by square.

New progression mesaurement : the player level.

Two types of missions exists : standard missions and special missions.



Standard missions

A short mission (~30 minutes), and small reward. 4 types are available, each type give different rewards.


  • business ($ and henchmen)
  • violence ($)
  • respect (henchmen)
  • diplomatie ($ and henchmen)



You also get points with each completed mission.
To collect a mission, you must be within its range. The more you wait to collect the mission, the less you get.


Special missions


Special mission are missions that are chained (like quests). After finishing the first one, you will have to do the seconde one, and so on until the 5th mission is finished.
The time required to complete each mission will be longer and longer, and the reward is only given at the end of the 5th mission.



Player level


The player level is based on is number of points. It will determine which missions are proposed to you.

 6 levels will be available :

'level.1': Vermin
'level.2': Trafficker
'level.3': Hit man
'level.4': Big-shot
'level.5': Weapons manufacturer

Speed Up a mission

I was wondering, how come the User Interface of the game in those screenshots didn't come with the missions update. Or is that something that a work in progress. Because I would VERY much like that layout.

I like everything about it. The Money, henchmen and gold are at the top of the screen while the bottom bar shows you the information on the territory. Everything looks so organized and compressed especially the missions page.

I may not be understanding your post correctly, but I wanted to post this just in case..

When I do the 'chained' missions that have numbers like 1, 2, 3, 4, etc, it still says 'Vermin' in the tag at the top of the page and the other missions I am being offered are the same ones I was offered before completing one of the numbered missions. It does offer me the next mission in the series (for example, if I just completed #3, then #4 will be offered), but the way I read the original post is that once I completed #3, it should be saying that I am a 'Hit Man' instead of a 'Vermin' and thus offer me different missions.

If I misunderstood, I apologize..

Ahh ok. And when your level goes up the missions change/give better rewards? That's cool. I'm at around 4500 points, so I can look forward to levelling up soon. Very Happy

Also, while on the subject of missions, on my Android phone, instead of a 'progress bar' like shown in the pictures above, mine gives 2 timers that are hard to understand. Here is a screenshot of what I see

The number of the left counts down, and I *think* that the mission is 'complete' when it reaches the number on the right (so in the screenshot, I have about 3 hours left on the misson). But neither of these numbers really make any sense - they don't correspond to either the time I started the mission or the time the mission will complete, so it's all very confusing. Having a countdown progress bar like in the examples above would be much more intuitive.

Thanks for the response! I'm really enjoying the game so far.

EDIT: Also, I wanted to point out that all of the missions I get (whether chained or regular) take around 6 hours to complete. There aren't any short missions of around 30 minutes like you describe in the first post.

Nice. That will make it a lot easier to understand/look at.


Could you give me a screenshot of the mission you can choose ?

I'll link a few screenshots below. All of the missions that seem like they would be 'regular' missions ["Run some scam games in the street", "Run and errand for the street dealer", "Be the lookout", etc] all take 6+ hours, just like the chained missions do. I should note that all of the missions in the screenshots below have been running for around 2 hours at the time I took the screenshot, so keep that in mind because they only show 4 hours left..

So they are all taking around 6 hours, except for the #4 quest, which is taking longer (I assume this is correct though since it is the 4th step in a chain).

This is true for all of the missions I have tried, including the "Rob a Bakery", "Mug someone", "Spray graffiti to mark your turf", "Stir trouble in the streets' and a couple others that I don't have running right now so I can't provide screenshots of the timer for those.

My standard missions take around 8-9 hours.
