Attack boost/gang bonus

So I purchased an attack boost earlier, and at first it worked fine. However, I just noticed that's ybor am hour or so later, I'm not getting the boost. Not only that, but my gang attack bonus is also gone. I have a gang member with me, and I am not getting ANY attack bonus. This is really disappointing for me because I saved gold specifically for the trip I'm on, and now I'm not getting any bonus.

Here are a couple of screen shots - not sure if there's any other way to show you, but I have attacked and lost as many men as were on in defense so I know it's not working. Please help!

I just saw that on the shop page it says it is only good for an hour, so I'm guessing that's why the attack boost isn't working, but it doesn't explain why my group attack bonus isn't working, and also it says on my map that I have 6 hours so that is a little confusing.
